“The location was great for us.”

This was hands down the best experience I've had with a vacation rental. PDX cottage/guesthouse was adorable. Perfect for two people. Very clean and the attention to detail was great. Susan was very friendly and helpful, recommending a few restaurants to us. The location was great for us. The location was perfect for us. Cute, quiet neighborhood. Not in the middle of the nightlife but only a short Uber ride away from bars and restaurants. We are already planning when we can return.  Bryan, January 2016

“I would definitely stay in the Cottage again”

If you want the perfect place to relax and feel at home in Portland, Susan's cottage is it. My boyfriend and I stayed here for five nights after the Christmas holidays with the intent of enjoying some downtime in a relaxed environment. Susan's cottage is so cozy and homey - and it was pretty awesome to lie in bed and look at the stars (when it wasn't cloudy) or just curl up in the den with a book. The location is great - walkable to many restaurants on Division and to lots of touristy stuff on Hawthorne Street. Parking was no issue at all and the place was very easy to find. Susan was very welcoming and extremely responsive throughout the whole process. I would definitely stay in this cottage again.  Michaele, December 2015

“There wasn't a single need that went unmet.”

PDX Urban Barn was the perfect place to stay for our week long vacation.  My wife and I felt at home the second we walked in.  There wasn't a single need that went unmet - from a perfectly stocked kitchen to a comfy bed, we couldn't have asked for more.  Nearby coffee shops and restaurants are excellent.  Although we traveled alone, we would have no reservation about bringing our son with us next time.  Thank you Susan for an excellent experience.   Dane & Danielle, Philadelphia, Pa.  November 2016

“Easily the nicest guesthouse ever.”

What an absolutely lovely place to stay! I decided to take a little staycation in Portland on the opposite side of town from where I live and Susan's Barn felt luxurious and cozy at the same time. Easily the nicest guesthouse I've ever stayed in. The location is perfect, I walked a block to hit up all of the Clinton /Division street restaurants and only a block more for groceries at New Seasons. The design and decor of the Barn is also just so lovely, inspired me for future remodel projects at my own home! I'll definitely be back in the summer to enjoy the beautiful outdoor patio as well. Susan is a great host and her cottage is charming! It was a lovely stay and the cottage was the perfect size and in great condition. It was good to explore a neighbourhood we likely wouldn't have visited otherwise (and the proximity to Pine St Biscuits was a major plus!!!). Would definently stay here again, Natalie, November 2016
